What comes next? Our Career Service provides you with general career advice, supports you through the application process, and organizes workshops and seminars like Karrieretreff to help you acquire the relevant skills that will help you make that transition from university to work life.
FAU also fosters close links to companies, and in addition to hosting recruiting events, you can also search through FAU’s portal for vacant internships and apprenticeships on its Stellenwerk.
We offer specialised support to our international students, not only to current students but also to graduates up to a year after they have left. This includes career advice, seminars and individual consultations.
FAU is one of the best universities in Europe, especially in the materials science and chemistry field. So many prominent professors work here and they encourage young researchers at FAU to make collaboration projects with other working groups. We cannot only gain the knowledge, but we can also build up connections with many different working groups.

Innovation at FAU
In the FAU Digital Tech Fellows Program you get to know a lot of like-minded people and spend a whole year working alongside them on start-up projects. Essentially, the FAU Digital Tech Fellows Program brought me together with my co-founder Stefan and gave us a roadmap for structuring our start-up journey!

The Digital Tech Academy is the overarching hub for digitization and entrepreneurship at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Various programmes for students, lecturers and businesses build a central platform for all offers in the field of “Digital Entrepreneurship”.
Zollhof
The digital business incubator ZOLLHOF – Tech Incubator Nord offers start-up support to founders in Germany and internationally. Students and researchers with business ideas can use the infrastructure of ZOLLHOF, including open workplaces, to take advantage of practical help in development and benefit from a broad network and entrepreneurial figures.
